The Archbishop of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN ) Most Rev Musa Panti Filibus PhD OFR has extended heartfelt condolences to Senator Iya Abbas, distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Adamawa Central, following the passing of his mother, Hajiya Hadiza Ahmed Nyibango.
In a letter addressed to the Senator, made available to the press by Rev Seth Mbuse, the information officer of the Church, Most Rev. Musa Panti Filibus PhD, OFR, expressed profound sorrow on behalf of the Council of Bishops, the Clergy, and the entire Lutheran community. The letter conveyed deep sympathy and support to Sen. Abbas and his family during this challenging period.
“We offer our heartfelt condolences to you and your family on the passing of your mother, Hajiya Hadiza Ahmed Nyibango. Her loss is deeply felt, and we stand with you during this difficult time,” wrote Archbishop Filibus.
The letter, marked by its compassionate tone, also included prayers for strength and peace for Sen. Abbas and his loved ones as they navigate their grief. “May God grant you and your loved ones the strength and peace needed to bear this irreparable loss. Amen,” the Archbishop added.
