The closing ceremony of the Leadership and Management Masterclass for Female Executives in Istanbul culminated in a grand Award Dinner where the London Bridge Business School (LBBS-UK) presented prestigious Honorary Doctorate Degrees.

Her Excellency, Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri was celebrated alongside distinguished awardees from Ebonyi State University, the Nigerian Shippersโ€™ Council, and the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service, received Honorary Doctorate Degrees.
The awards were presented during the closing ceremony and dinner of the Leadership and Management Masterclass for Female Executives in Istanbul, Turkey.
The conferment of the doctorate degree was administered by Vive President LBBS-UK, Middle East and Africa, Prof. Mahesh R. Pillai. He stated that Her Excellency Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri was conferred withย  the consent of the senate of the affiliating University, especially the Samuel Wright University, Florida USA. Hijiya Lami received the Honorary Degree of Leadership (D.Lead), and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Honoris Causa with effect from 25th September, 2025.

Accepting the Honorary Doctorate award, Hajiya Lami Fintiri expressed profound gratitude for finding her worthy of the prestigious degree. Her Excellency also expressed deep gratitude to her husband, His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his unwavering support and strong commitment to womenโ€™s inclusion in leadership. She noted that his encouragement has continued to inspire not only her but also countless other women to lead with confidence and purpose in Adamawa State and beyond.
She further commended the leadership of WIGS for their vision in creating the Leadership and Management Masterclass, a platform that empowers women to build capacity, share knowledge, and gain the confidence to lead at every level. According to her, such initiatives are essential in breaking barriers, confronting cultural and systemic challenges, and opening doors for women to play greater roles in shaping societies.

The conferment of the Honorary Doctorate to Her Excellency Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri was not merely a recognition of status, but a powerful validation of a life dedicated to service, a story etched in the hearts and homes of Adamawa State, where also, her award is a recognition of her tremendous contributions to the people of Adamawa State, where her leadership and compassion have touched countless lives.
Through her tireless efforts, she has championed women and youth empowerment, creating opportunities that uplift families and strengthen communities and transforming the lives of the marginalized into futures of promise:
She has remained a strong advocate for education, particularly for the girl child, ensuring that young girls are given the chance to learn, dream, and achieve their full potential. In the area of maternal and child health, her initiatives have saved lives and given women access to better healthcare and support systems.


Her voice has also been firm and unwavering in the fight against gender-based violence, standing as a shield for the vulnerable and a beacon of hope for survivors. Beyond this, her dedication to social welfare programs continues to improve the quality of life for many across Adamawa State.

This award is not just a personal honor, but a symbol of the impact she has made and the legacy she is building, one of empowerment, justice, and inclusive growth for all.

In the same vein the founding Chairman of the Governing Council of World Institute for Gender Studies WIGS, Dr. Ben Nwankwo admitted and enrolled the participants of the Leadership and Management Masterclass as Fellows of the World Institute for Gender Studies for the purpose of impacting, influencing and advancing the course of Transformational leadership among the grassroots and the institution in Nigeria and beyond.

The award and conferment of the Fellows of WIGS took place during the closing ceremony and award dinner.
