Hajiya Hurera Salihu, wife of the Executive Chairman of Jada Local Government Area, on November 3rd 2025 has officially flagged off a breast cancer awareness campaign aimed at sensitizing women on early detection and prevention of the disease.
Speaking at the event held in Jada on Monday, Hajiya Hurera emphasized the importance of personal hygiene, regular medical checkups, and early diagnosis in combating breast cancer. She urged women to seek medical advice promptly and to be open with health personnel, noting that “health is wealth.”
Hajiya Hurera also called on women in Jada and beyond to support the Fintiri Fresh Air Administration and the initiatives of the First Lady of Adamawa State, Hajiya Lami Umaru Fintiri, who has taken a bold step in championing breast cancer awareness campaigns across the state.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by Hon. Hannatu Jared, Vice Chairman of Jada Local Government; Hon. Helen Shamaki, Executive Secretary of the Primary Health Care Authority Jada; wives of the 11 ward councillors, and other women leaders and stakeholders.
The event featured health talks, free medical consultations, and community sensitization on the need for regular breast examinations and early medical intervention.
